A. Student -Assessment practise mode - Gives item by item description of test performance which allows student to 'administer' the test to the patient and score/interpret patient performance.

B. Student-Information mode - Gives a summary of the patient's test performance in the form of subtest and total scores and errors thereby by-passing the need to 'administer' the test to find out how the patient performed. As well as this, it includes additional information about:

  • The Contributor's contact details
  • Publications relevant to this patient/disorder
  • Interesting features about this patient's disorder,
The user is able to 'step down' to item by item level information for each test as presented in "Student-Assessment practise mode"

C. Researcher mode - This is the 'deluxe' level of access to PATSy's database. It presents the user with total scores for all the tests a given patient has undertaken. As well as this, it encompasses all the levels of performance description available in both types of Student modes of access.

In addition it has "search functions" to facilitate the researcher/clinician locate specific types of information in the database.

D. Guest mode - Presents information as for Student-Information mode but with only 1 patient's data as an example. The video of the patient is also substituted with a non-patient video to respect conditions of use agreement.

E. Data mode - Data mode provides a facility for exporting 'raw' test data for a PATSy case in a form suitable for use in a spreadsheet or as input to a statistical package such as SPSS. In data mode, when the 'test list' for a PATSy case is accessed, you will notice that each test has a 'extract' button to the left of each testname. Clicking the 'extract' button causes a data file consisting of rows/columns of test item names, scores etc to be downloaded by your web browser to your PCs local disk. All modes (except Admin. and Data) also have the following in common:

  • Video of patient (except Guest mode)
  • IPA transcribed patient responses
  • Medical history

Please read notes on PATSy about PATSy videos, IPA transcription and Medical Histories.
